The Infante, located about 75 yards SW of the center of the reef, was part of the 1733 treasure fleet enroute to Spain that was entirely destroyed on the Keys reefs during a hurricane. The Infante has its own page in this website.
Dive Description
Little Conch Reef is a large patch reef, spreading for about 3/4 mile across a white sand bed. It is known for its tube sponges and sea fans, however it is most noted for the numbers of spiny lobster collected here during season. As the reef is outside the Key Largo Marine Sanctuary, up to 6 lobster per person can be taken. Note that collection of any kind of coral or conch anywhere in Florida is strictly forbidden by state law.

The Little Conch Ledges are located about 100 yards west of Little Conch Reef.
