| History | |
| Cosgrove Shoal is named after the 19th century captain of the lighthouse ship stationed there. | |
| Dive Description | |
| Cosgrove Shoal is a long rocky bank, composed of dead reef substrate and living reef recapturing the lost glory. It is excellent diving, and given its remoteness is scarcely visited by divers or pollution. Truly virgin dive country. Near the tower, divers find great barracuda (the big ones), large schools of smaller barracuda, moray eels, and spiny lobster. |
