| History | |
| Chet Alexander is legendary for sinking more artificial reef ships than anyone else in the Florida Keys. He purchased this destroyer escort from the Navy for $2000 and sank her in 40 feet of water in 1972. | |
| Dive Description | |
| The wreck is broken in half, with the stern lying 150 yards north of the bow. The stern is often awash, so beware of jagged metal tears from prior boat hits. The ship's gun turrets provide hoses for thousands of fish. Sheepshead, hogfish, angelfish, groupers, porkfish, snappers and spadefish are prolific. |
