History
The name Ten-Fathom Bar comes from its southern edge, called Fennel Ridge, which begins at about 60 feet deep (10 fathoms).
Dive Description
The Ten-Fathom bar has a spectacular wall that drops from 25 feet to over 130 feet, though most of the best stuff is between 40 and 80 feet. The reef runs for over 4 miles, replete with man-sized barrel sponges, black coral, and deep undercut ledges sheltering porcupinefish, spiny lobster, and colorful tropicals.
